Important Information About Our Office

Welcome to Pediatric Partners of Zephyrhills.

At our office, we believe that raising a child is a rewarding--as well as a challenging --experience for a parent. Our goal is to help you enjoy this experience and to ensure that your child's full potential is reached. We believe that healthy children are the results of healthy families and communities.

Our goal is to provide you with excellent, compassionate pediatric care. We are here to serve you and your children.

Please take a few minutes to read through the following information and familiarize yourself with our practice.

After Hours

The doctors take emergency calls from their homes after hours. Call the main office number, 813-782-6064, and our answering service will page a doctor to call you back. All of our doctors use the "Privacy" settings on their phones when calling after hours, so if you are expecting their call, please pick up. Please save routine questions (mild illness, appointments, prescription refills) for the morning. We encourage you to refer to our website first, when practical, before calling after hours.

Appointments

To help provide timely service to our patients, we prefer to schedule all visits. If you are later than 15 minutes for your appointment, we will try to work you back into the schedule, or perhaps offer an appointment to you with another provider. Out of courtesy to our other patients, we may be forced to ask you to reschedule your appointment.

Occasionally, despite our best efforts, we may run late. We will keep you informed so that you have the option of rescheduling your appointment or seeing another provider, if available.

WELL CHILD VISITS are usually scheduled in advance and do book up quite quickly.

SCHOOL PHYSICALS should be scheduled as early as possible. In anticipation of heavy demand for these appointments, you should plan to call and schedule them at least TWO MONTHS in advance. It is virtually impossible to expect to be seen for a school physical if you call right before school begins.

Sick Child Visits

We make every effort to schedule appointments for ill children on the day that you call us. Please call our office ahead of time so that we can minimize the time that you will spend waiting. If you have a medical emergency during office hours, we will do our best to see your child immediately or refer you to the appropriate facility.

If you would like to see us for more than one child, YOU MUST SCHEDULE APPOINTMENTS FOR EACH CHILD. Without an appointment, we may not be able to see a sick sibling right away, and you may be asked to wait while the provider sees a scheduled patient.

Walk-Ins

Patients who walk in with a non-emergency condition will be fit into the existing schedule as best as possible, or they will be asked to return later in the day when the schedule allows.

Emergencies

If an emergency should arise, please call 911. Emergencies are considered to be those conditions that are life-threatening such as loss of consciousness, severe bleeding, seizure, or severe asthma attack. In the case of minor emergencies (lacerations, cuts, mild fractures, sprains), please call our office first for instructions.

Insurance

We accept most insurance carriers. Please have your insurance card or Medicaid card with you at the time of your visit. If we file your claim, you are responsible for only the required co-pay or deductible at the time of visit. If we are not a provider for your insurance, if you are not insured or we do not file with your insurance company, YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ENTIRE CHARGE AT THE TIME OF SERVICE. Please call our office in advance to verify we are a provider for your insurance carrier.

Our contract with your insurance carriers requires us to collect the appropriate co-pay and/or deductible at the time of service. If, on occassion, you are unable to make this payment and we must bill you, please be aware that a $10 Billing Service Charge will be added to the amount you owe us.

For those patients that are without insurance and are Self Pay, we can offer a Sliding Fee Schedule based on Income and Family Size. An application for the Sliding Fee, which must be completed for each visit, is available at the Front Desk. Please come prepared to verify your income with either your prior year's income tax return or your three most recent pay stubs. All information is kept strictly confidential. See the Office Manager if you have questions.

Please note that we accept Mastercard, Visa, and American Express credit cards, as well as bank debit cards.
